Lets get rid of Ugly members

I've noticed in the last couple of days several members have been trying to "straighten out" the TDR web site and put us all on the right track for future glory. I just thought while we are straightening things out we could get rid of all of the Ugly members. We could require everyone to send in a picture and have a board determine if they were good looking enough to be members of the TDR. I know some of you may not agree with my opinion on this but from a politically correct standpoint you would be "disc'ing" me if you say so.

Sure, a FEW fellas have piped up about things they were concerned about on the board - they did it honestly and openly.



Steve, in recognition of their views. ASKED for other members input to be used as a possible guideline for future board policy - and SOME of us posted what was ASKED for, our individual OPINIONS!



Now, whatinheck is WRONG or THREATENING about that, and why are SOME getting all worked up about it?



YOU have opinions, *I* have opinions - and when we are specifically ASKED for them, WHY should it disturb someones tranquility when we RESPOND to the request?

Opinions are like assh****. Everbodys got em. Some of you fellows take things to serious. Some of you probably shouldn't be driving a Dodge/Cummins. Gary glad to see your still reading the "Other" forum just havin fun hope you are too. I think I enjoy the "other" forum better than the VP and lift pump threads at this point, cause I just get depress reading them. But when I read Doc's and other members threads in the "other" Forum it puts a smile on my face. Some times I even laugh. Like dmurdocks post on this thread I :-laf :-laf :-laf my ass off.

While we're at it

You know, being a 24v guy and all I really don't have any use for the 12v forums or the 1st gen forums. I also don't read the towing/hauling forums, so lets get rid of those also. Come to think of it, I think everyone on this board this board should only post about topics I'm interested in. Also, make sure your opinions of products and situations are the same as mine. That way I don't have to read anything that might conflict with the way I think. I'll do ya'll one better, before you post go ahead and send it my way and I'll tell you if you can post it or not. That should solve all of our problems.



Hate to tell the "other forum haters", but the very rules that get valuable sources of info booted for not playing by the rules also protect and allow other people to post "meaningless rubbish". Instead of complaining about what is posted, go play another round of lawn bowling and have a cup of tea instead.

OH, I never said I didn't read, or enjoy, some of the stuff over here - I just hate to see the relative freedom we have here deteriorate or endangered due to the carelessness and poor judgement of a few who deliberately abuse it...



As I pointed out in another thread, I've seen boards seriously damaged when a FEW careless users get caught up in a "can you top THIS" trend - it turns off SOME of the members, and causes others to look elsewhere for their info - there ARE other sources - and I myself have found it easier to simply leave those boards than to be increasingly exposed to stuff with which I am in some way offended - the guy sitting on the pot is an excellent example of "potty mentality" that has NO appropriate purpose in this thread, and which I inadvertantly tripped over as I was reading OTHER less offensive stuff - what if my 9 year-old grandaughter was looking over my shoulder at the time - is THAT the sort of stuff I want her to think grandad spends his time looking at on the internet?



I'm really NOT a prude - just old enough that I really DON'T get a "thrill" or satisfaction outta that stuff - there's plenty of good humor available in other places - if I really thought folks sitting on toilets was funny, all I gotta do is spend more time in the restroom down at Walmart - I sure don't need to come HERE to see it!
