I'm personally throwing in my $100 for the street class (DOT approved tires) heads up racing at Thunder in Muncie. Anyone else?

Remember, the purse is a racer pitch in, so let's see the big dogs toss in some cash. We will meet at the tower at the dragstrip just before the driver's meeting to put the money in!

I can see it now!

4 pages of threads and in every one there will be "mines bigger than yours" or "my dad can kick your dads butt"

just kidding so any way whos got the best torque converter:D :D :D

Id better keep my mouth shut being as Im new n all!

I'll throw in $50 to a #2 only class.

I dunno if i'll have drugs and 760hp on #2 ain't gonna happen to my truck in the next 30 days.

diesel only?

There will only be two classes Mark street (DOT tires, etc) and Pro (slicks).

In the spirit of true competition it's not right to limit the classes more than what the official rules are. I lost last year to a bottle baby and I knew that was a possibility, so if I wanted to win, I should have put her on the bottle for the day.

My style is diesel only, but I can't expect my competitors/friends to have the same style. It's all about winning, no matter what you have to do to get there. I have a personal goal of 12. 00 et on diesel only and feel that I will achieve it. I won't be by June 9th, but hopefully this year.

Where's that HVAC?

If any fuel is allowed, ask John Force to bring his dragster. Nitromethane is "any fuel. " What happened to our Diesel powered Rams? Let's see you folks beat him.

There are rules in most associations that limit fuel.

Expecting a #2 only truck to run with a nitro/propane truck is not generally reasonable.

Going fast and going fast on #2 only are two totally different mindsets.

The point is... . why use anything other than diesel only. Like others have said in the past "the olympics dont allow drugs" so why should the diesel drag races be any different?

Nitro is not diesel fuel and neither is nitrous oxide. Nitro smells good though:D

drugs or no drugs

Actually, the rules specifically say LP and NOS allowed in street class. The rules are meant for bracket racing, not heads up.

I'm flexible and of course willing to go diesel only, how many of you are competing June 9th? We will decide during our tower meeting June 9th.

I plan on being there.

If I can get it put in (read find the time and $$$) I'd consider NOS and run both ways.

I like my head gaskets too much for propane.

eric

i will race #2 only against you. i run street e/t's so i can run in the street class. i'm not skeered:( . is there any way we can get some fans for the track, to keep the smoke off the staging lights? as we found out this weekend it is a real problem. heads up means no times right? heck this weekend i ran.

11. 76

10. 29

7. 85

and a bunch of low 13's, if we can't get rid of the smoke from guys without stacks it's going to be tuff to get accurate reaction times. meaning there will be know way to see if someone red lights.

don is right n20 is not a fuel. it is just a turbo in a bottle. :D

can we run in both classes even if we don't have slicks? it sounds like everyone is running on #2 so it should be easy to win the fast class. while all of you guys sit around and whine about drugs i will be seeing how things look while running 11's:cool: i don't have a cage so i can only run in the 11's once. but it will still be fun.

I'm coming and bringing my bottle baby truck..... First I will need to get some more inside info from Jim F. and then try and beat him at the track :).

Looking forward to seeing you all there. Oh by the way count me in on the pot, I will have to check the $$ to see how much. But like Jim says "i fugure if i have to part with $$ it might as well go to a ctd owner".

Doug

Smoke problems? It just depends on the wind;)

We'll see how many guys show up want to race heads up. We may only run one class, slicks and street.

The best part is the crowd is going to see some serious speed!

I have a Franklin to add to the pot... I'm not going to run the track but will love to help the pot !!

Oh BTW HVAC is in the 12's with #2 only [for those that haven't read Chris's post he got 600. 9HP at Silverstate's Dyno]

Why would HVAC go to another dyno and not the one at DD for free? Its cheaper and everyone can see whatcha got. The idea here was to have everyone on the same dyno, same place, same, etc, etc.

Not some guys across town on another dyno.
