I got a 99 extra cab short bed and want to see what you guy's bought for a matching canopy and why:D please help I think you guys can make it easier

to decide. I would really like to see some pics if you got them. thanks Brian

Im looking at a fiberglass shell or a metal canopy with doors that would replace the tail gate. I really would appreciate coments on

why you like your shell or canopy and why you dont. thanks Brian

Heres mine, It is a Leer XL100 and it has been great. I bought the Rail saver where it uses a car like seal that sticks to the shell not the rail and the rear door is a 1 latch mechanism where it has a car like closure where you can lock the latch the slam the door closed and it latches. I bought the "Bowning package" where it come lined from the factory and has a storage box in the roof (Supp. for a rifle... but I have junk in it) I bought the Bed Rug to compliment it and it is nice for if you need a place to sleep, the bed rug has a foam pad that is cut to the ribs in the bed so when you kneel on it you don't wreck your knees.

Spacekap...

This was my second choice.

This was my first choice. One of these days I'll get the leaks fixed.

Wished I had known of my second choice before I purchased my first choice?

I've put a Six-pac Tradesman on mine and I love it. The rack only is rated at 300# but I never paid attention to that. Will send pics, ask, -- email address removed --

thanks for the response's I didnt mention that it will need to carry a pair of kayak's and alittle steel tubing. I might make a metal rack over the canopy but Im not sure yet, keep the pics coming and coments. brian:D

The leer has a package that includes a Yakima rack on the top. Perfect for putting a kayak on it with a few simple mounts

BSATDS

O. K. Mr. toolman, what's the integral of cosine theta?

Better a smart a** than a dumb sh**.

And you can quote me on that!

There is much to learn here, I just need to pay attention.

Thanks Tim.
