So, do you think the 4th Gen HD trucks will be a radical departure from current offerings?

Air suspension, on board air, gauge options, tilt hood, etc. , etc. ? Offer a "mini" version of a class 8 truck, depart from the pickup theme, especially with the C&C models! Hey, if you are going to offer a different HD version of a pickup, then why not really set yourself apart from the other makes?

Just wondering if I would be sorry buying a 2009, the last of the third gens? I was going to wait until year two (2011) but I might move that plan to the end of the current model, I did that in 2001 and haven't been sorry, 205K mostly trouble free miles, a few LP's later though!

I got rear ended this week, and while mostly cosmetic, I did start thinking maybe sooner than later for the replacement!

What say you?

I didn't like the 02/03 when they first came out, however by 05 they had grown on me and I bought one. Give it time.

A production run of the concept 'Power Wagon' with a two-door crew cab, standard 37" tires, a twin turbo option and 1 million candlepower running lights.

2010 Heavy Duty

Let's hope and pray that they separate the 2500 and up from the butt ugly 1500 line... good gawd... yuck. I would be more in the market for a concept Power Wagon in a suicide quad cab or four door crew cab configuration. I think that Dodge should take some styling ques from the new International "Lonestar"

I'm sorry, but that thing looks like a giant PT Cruiser:-laf

I thought it looked like an ol' time steam locomotive with the cattle guard style front end. lets give the IHC styling dept. credit for stepping out of the box on that one!

Like it or hate it, that IH won't be mistaken for anything else, a radical departure and I like that kind of a bold statement. Maybe Dodge will step out of the box with the 4th gens?

I agree! Did you check out the DMaxx also on that site? Look at what the 1994 model styling did for Dodge and how the other manufacturers made some half assed attempt at copying it. I think it's time for Dodge to step up and knock another one out of the park, I think it would be a good (bold) move for the new owners. We know from thew Power Wagon Concept the design engineers have it in them. Now let's step up and build something that shouts I am a truck!

That's the only International truck I've ever liked. I think Dodge should follow Ford's lead (I can't believe I just said that) and make the HD trucks look completely different. The big boys should stand out. Mega Cab Long bed, 4500 and 5500 pickup bed versions and towing weights that at least match Ford's. Since I'm dreaming here, why not bolt a real jake on top of the Cummins and make stacks an option!

If they want to keep sellin' diesels, considering fuel prices, the corporation should try to entice the buyer with more exciting options than the one or two place cup holder. They could offer a 'sedate' version for old guys ( little wheels and quiet exhaust ) and the 'hellraiser' version with twins, stacks, meats and a suspension to match ( Baja-ready and tow king both). Pass the bong, please!
