Haven't ever been a big fan of the big heavy duty front and rear bumpers for a couple reasons.

1. They stick out too far for my liking.
2. Add a fair amount of extra weight to the front end of the truck which makes me think front end parts will wear out faster.

Those being said, my trip to work this evening has me looking into front and rear bumpers. Had a young women pull out in front of me while I was doing 60 down the service road and it was all I could do to avoid plowing into the side of her and either killing her or totaling both our vehicles. Locked up my brakes and everything.

What are y'alls thoughts or experiences with these heavy bumpers?

They work great for low impacts like hitting a Deer or other animals. I got mine to mount a winch as I do a lot of off roading. I did upgrade my coil springs to account for the additional weight of the bumper and winch.
