2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission Leveling 2500 2wd

Has anyone had experience with leveling a 2wd? I do not have the camper package. However I removed the 1" spacer from the leaf springs in the rear but the front of the truck still is three to four inches lower than the rear. I would like to raise the front at least 2"( I like the level look and don't do any heavy hauling or towing). Prefer not to use the slip in spring spacers. Any suggestions?

There is a company name Daystar that makes spacers that go on top of the coils. There is three sizes: 1, 1 1/2, 2 1/2. I ordered the 2 1/2 from 4 Wheel Parts for $80. Energy Suspension is also coming out with a 1 1/2 spacer in a couple of months. This spacers are to give you more height and keep the same soft ride. Pablo

SLICK-- Your siggy says you have the towing package, and you say you dont have the camper package..... they are basically the same thing, correct me if I am wrong. I am lost there... I would not use the knuckle spacers for anything... they pop out if you hit a big enough bump, and you would be better off getting some lifted springs, or some urethane bushing cups to put in the top of the springs. .

I'd go with longer springs if available

I believe the camper special package includes a rear stabilizer bar and overload leaf springs for a slide-in camper, while the tow package has the factory installed class 4 hitch,7 pin plug and wiring harness setup for trailer towing and the pigtail connector for a brake controller located under the dash.



On the increase in front end height,IMHO I would not use spacers either. I don't know what others have done,maybe they will chime in on this one.

Thanks for the info P Madrid. I'll investigate. charlan, I had bad luck with the spacers in an old Cheby truck I had. There is a difference in the Camper Package vs. the Tow Package. The Camper has extra springs and a sway bar. The Tow has the reciever hitch, 7 pin for trailer wiring harness, and a 7 to 4pin adapter.

I just installed the Daystar 2" spacers on my 01, it looks better level but, the stock shocks now seem to 'top out' on certain bumps ,speed bumps, ect. Even on minor inperfections on some roads it has a 'low rider' type bounce to it. I'm either getting used to it or its settling down a little now. I've ordered longer shocks and I'll let you know if that helps.

i have the rancho level kit with lower tubes for alignment. i have the 9000 shocks. 2 in taller for the front and im happy with it
