2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission Leveling Kit and 35's

I have a 2002 Dodge 2500 quad cab I would like to do the 2" spacer and 35/12. 50/18s some people have told me its possible without rubbing in front others tell me they will rub no matter what and i would have to do a 4" lift to clear. Has anybody tryed this set up? Will they rub? Is a 4" my only option?

I have put 33" on with the wrong offset with no problems. I seen 35 on a 94 and they fit. they get close to the back of the front fender because the control arms swing down with the 2" lift. I would stay with 2" leveling kit, get the 35 and if you dont like the wheels not centered in the wheel well or having hitting issues only then add solid or adjustable control arms before going to 4" lift. You will loose some low end and mpg, it also effects handling and more load on drivetrain, etc. , But it is your truck...

The issue isn't the lift; it's the backspacing on the wheel. The factory wheels are 4. 5" (I think) so 35s will hit the control arms at full lock. The tire comes into play too -- a smooth sidewall might be ok but a lugged sidewall might not stay lugged. An 8" wide wheel with 4" of backspacing seems to work (I'm just repeating other info; haven't actually done that). Lifting more than 2" with the stock control arms moves the axle back and fender clearance issues come into play.

I just installed their HP leveling kit and put Bilstein shocks in the rear at the same time. What a nice ride!! I will never use the leveling spacers again.

i have the kore springs which are about a 2" lift and the dt profab arms that are a 1/2" longer and have no problem clearing 315-70-17 which is a 35" tire they are mounted on h2 wheels so i have a little less backspacing

I have the Rancho 2" pucks and 35" tires on aftermarket 8" wheels. If I go through a gutter and turn at the same time, it will rub.



I wished the supposed "leveling kits" were 3", because my truck isn't level.

have got 315 75 16 on my 01 with factory alloys no rub but i installed a 1/4 -20 bolt in the knuckle to limit turning angle. just the thickness of the head of the bolt keeps the tires from rubbing the control arms.

I run Moto Metal 950's at 20 x 10, -12mm offset and 5. 0" backspace with 35x12. 5 Nitto Terra Grapplers. Also run a Kore leveling kit (Recon I think they call it).



The tires rubbed the inner fenders at the rear of the fender at full lock really badly, so I had control arms built 1-1/4" longer than stock to move the front axle forward and center it back in the wheel well. That did recenter the axle, but at full lock, especially if I hit a bump (like a speed bump, backing out of a driveway, etc), it will still rub the inner fenders at the rear and the front chin spoiler at the front. I did clearance the chin spoiler too. The amount of rub I have now is "acceptable" to me, so I don't worry about it.

They make a quality product for our trucks if you can get them to answer their phones or emails ever. I had tried repeatedly to contact them and gave up and used a set of Solid Steel Lower Arms for now until I can find a set for mine.



I run 35's(315/75/R16) on mine with a 2over front(D25 Coils) and only have a minor rub on the drivers side inner fenderwell... ... Andy

I have 305/70/16 and no contact at all. This is with the stock control arms and after I replaced with tubular ones, also with or without the 2 spacers. Of course you want to go 315s, so . . .
