Hi guys my dealer is telling me that a leveling kit will void my warranty I think its bull. You can buy these trucks with full suspention lift and they are covered from other dealers I see on the internet. so what do i do. Also up until 2013 mopar sold lift kits and leveling kits my parts guy called mopar to get the kit and they told him they will no long make them for this gen trucks. This is why they told me that it would be a warranty problem. What do you guys think

Technically, any modification like that will make you "your own warranty station". Forget all the BS about laws and rules saying they have to prove it won't hurt, your headstone will be moss covered before that ever gets resolved. A dealer that is selling it with warranty is either doing warranty themsleves until they decide not to, or lying thru their teeth to make a sale.

You mess with it, you own it. That is the likely outcome.

I think you need to go to a different dealer. Like you said, you can buy these trucks new from the dealer with lift kits and leveling kits under full warranty. A lot of lift kit companies will even cover repairs to suspension components if for whatever reason the dealer won't.

By the way, your warranty won't get voided. It can get restricted.

That is correct, it may get restricted so the factory has to look at it before repairs are covered. But the only thing that may not be covered is the parts that are modified. They also have to show that the modification caused the failure. So the drive line, U-joints, suspension parts might not be covered, but the rest of the truck still is. It's in the warranty book that came with the truck.

Every dealer is different. I had my dealer install a Thuren leveling kit on my truck last July. They told me they install leveling kits and lift kits on vehicles almost every day. A couple of months back, my truck developed a popping noise coming from the left front. I took the truck in and they installed a new hub kit as well as ball joints and the fact the truck has a leveling kit was never even mentioned. However, I have heard horror stories about other dealers around here flagging warranty work over any modification. As mentioned above, they have to show the modification caused the failure, though there are service managers who will argue that.

Same here my last 3 trucks have had a leveling kit ether springs or spacers my dealers never eve noticed nor cared. I even have free spin hubs, granted I've also never had a warranty issue with the front end on any of my trucks. Oops wait there was the re-call on the 05 for the replacement steering 08 linkage kit that I had installed when the tierod ends wore out. But even then they had no issues with getting me the parts and would have done the install for free had I wanted as per the re-call. I know it's a control issue but I don't want anyone working on my trucks... Maybe I need mental help....LOL

Just had the local dealer install my thuren front springs and shocks this morning no problem
