did mine in an hour or 2. hardest part was getting old shock bolts out. you will need a decent floor jack, stands, and a big vicegrip to hold upper shock studs when removing top bolt and dont forget to get the lower shock bolts real tite after you finish or they will rattle like mad. once shocks are out of the way the spring brackets on top are out then the springs will be free to pull out.

Leveling Springs

Took 1 1/2 hours to put in D25's & run to Checker Auto Parts to rent a spring compressor. That helped a great deal for the install. My Rancho 5000 shocks became 1. 5 inches too short right away so I bought Rancho RSX's that were 2. 5 inches longer, Your stock shocks will be destroyed in short order so why not change both shocks and springs at the same time. By the way the new ride is awesome, smooth,no problem with expansion joints, and the truck looks great. Just my . 02. eg

tell me more about the leveling kit. who makes it what is involved, how it turned out ect. my front end is way lower than the backnow. and if is just springs & shocks that sounds good. what about the steering geometry , alignment & that stuff?thanks carl

I purchased mine from Top Gun Customs for $90. 00 but there are many companys that offer the spacers that lift the front end 2 inches. Basically, the ones I have are made of steel and they bolt to the upper mount where your coil springs set. I am having a friend do mine next weekend as he has everything needed in his shop needed, mainly a spring compressor. After installiation they recommend a front end alignment. I have seen them on other Dodge trucks and it does give the front a nicle little boost to even out the truck, front to rear.

Hey Joe what up bro, we would like to see your pics but there to dark. I'll give you a call monday. I have a sticker for you. Later Dwayne... .

I had the blocks also but changed to the springs, they made an improvement on the ride. Springs run about the same price as the blocks, spacers etc. A spring compressor will make the job alot easier as mentioned above.

Do you have to change shocks with the leveling kit or will the stock ones be ok??? Might be able to budget for the leveling kit soon, but not shocks for a little while longer.

Yes you need to change the shocks and dont let anyone tell you different. They are not long enough and they will top out, makes for a rough ride. I was sold a stock length shock with my level kit and they would top out on bumps, They were Ranchos and they even were slightly longer than stock, I then switched to the longer Rancho for 2-3" lift and have no problems since. I do realize some use the stockers but not sure how they handle the bumps. Good luck.

Also like I mentioned above you might be happier with the springs for the same price, makes for a better ride.
