Leveling kit recommendations

A local buddy of mine and I have talked about getting leveling kits for our trucks. I hear the metal ones are recommended. Any particular manufacturer recommended over others? Do the 2" leveling kits create any problems I have seen in other threads called Death Wobble?



Maybe my buddy and I could buy them at the same time and install them at the same time at a large parking lot. It would make it simple with two of us working on each truck if we have something to figure out.



How much time is involved in adding the kits?

Went with the Tuff Country kit on mine... took Les Schwab about 4 hours to install and do a complete realignment. I also installed the KORE drop blocks to brink the torsion bar back in line. No Death Wobble here! The key to any suspension or ride height change is realignment!

i installed a Lorenz suspension, which brought the front end up 3". i was going to get it aligned and that was 800 miles ago. i have ran it hard over rough stuff and made a couple of road trips and i have no visible tire wear or wobble. i will have it aligned when it needs to go to dealer for warranty in the far future i hope. just my experience. hope it helps.

I just installed the KORE HD Leveling kit last Friday. Includes HD springs, bump stops, drop blocks for the front sway bar, and Bilstene (sp?) shocks. I went this way because I added a Road Armor front bumper and wanted the extra support up front I wouldn't get with factory springs and spacers. I also will move my spare to the front using the front receiver and hitch adapter when I load my camper. So far after alignment, it seems pretty solid. Alignment dimentions did change some but seemed fine on the road prior to realignment. Easy to install and firm on the road without being harsh or extra stiff. So far so good.

You can't beat Kore stuff. The springs are the real seller of thier kits.

Installed 2" spacers from Revtek part #702 about 2000 miles ago. It took about an hour or so to complete with no special tools. My 05 cc LB 4x4 now has 22000 miles on it and has not been alined and no issues yet.

Any changes to the stock suspension will change the geometry of the front end. When you see uneven tire wear or experience the death wobble... it's a bit too late! :{ Spend the $$ on the alignment and save yourself a headache! My 5 cents with inflation! :-laf
