I remember someone talking about a leveling kit to lift the front end, in one of the past threads. Can someone show me the thread (I've tried searching for Leveling Kit) or tell me where I can find a kit?
Here is mine with 315/75-16's BFG AT's and the Jackit Leveling Kit. I also installed rear add-a-leafs from Jackit. Jackit part # TUF D2P brings you the Tough Country front spacers and part # SKJ R372 gives you two Skyjacker 1" rear add-a-leafs to keep the rear up when your towing.
Greystoke, how did the add a leafs affect the ride? I want to bring up the rear of my truck about an inch, but don't want anymore spring rate. How much did they set you back?
DANG - Another nice looking truck Greystoke! I wish I would've replaced the 16" wheels with 16. 5's. Seems like there are more choices in tires, and all the metric sized 16" tires look skinny no matter how big they are... nothing beats 35X12. 50X16. 5's... . Especially Mud Terrain T/A's... . Has anyone put on the Tuff Country leveling kit themselves? I was wondering if it was worth the money to have a shop do it, or do it myself...
What exactly is a levelling kit, and what does it do? I understand lift kits, but had never heard of a levelling kit until I joined the TDR. From looking at the various pictures of trucks with the levelling kits, I can't see any obvious difference between them and my truck.
I installed my coil spacers (2 1/2") myself, not too bad of a job. Did the shocks at the same time. If you don't want to lift the rear any, I wouldn't go over 2" in the front.
I leveled the front end on mine... I like the look, but don't care for the way the front end (i. e. steering, suspension, etc. ) feels now. It's also causing my front tires to "feather". You need to be consciensious about rotating tires if you are going to level it out.
