thinking of leveling my 3500. just wondering do some companys offer better kits than others and whats the best my truck.

Carli offers a smooth riding front coil for the 2nd gen guys. I believe it yields a 2" front lift.

Don Thuren offers a new 2" smooth riding coil and shock setup also.

Ive got maxx links billet aluminum blocks on mine, they were not too pricy, and came with an aluminum red colored shock tower, looks cool, thats about it i guess, pretty easy install. But if I were to do it over again I would get the new coil springs like regcabguy suggests, probably offers a smoother ride.

where did you get the maxx links kit from? its a 3500 used on the farm and for towing so ride quality isnt a huge deal as much as the money part.

I got the blocks from suspensionmaxx.com I saw the ad in the tdr calendar a while ago, yr or two ago, my truck was down and out for a few weeks, and figured I'd put them on, got the links on it yrs ago and liked them ok, most leveling kits ive seen are cheesy abs plastic, liked these because their billet aluminum, cant remember how much I paid, think there was a promotional offer going on at the time or something, cant see it being much more than $150. Only thing with doing a level is that you open up a can of worms with getting the axle off center, got to get an adjustable track bar, then the rear will sag like an overloaded half ton with a heavy load in the bed unless you beef up the spring pack or put bags in the rear

skyjacker levelling kit

I got 2 skyjacker urethane spacers and skyjacker nitro shocks for my front end levelling. Looks nice, and I haven't had any issues whatsoever nor do I expect any... lots of good products out there

A spacer will lever it but not increase ride quality.

A spring will level and give a better ride quality.

I've had both on a 3500 3rd Gen. I bought a set of leveling 2. 5" spacers and installed them and was already running 295's on it. It did just fine with no issues except a rougher ride. If you're going to level the front end at a bare minimum I would suggest a set of bilstein 5100's built for the additional space as the stock shocks suffer when stretched out. I ditched that kit and put in Carli's starter kit paired with . 5" control arms. The leveling moves the front axle a tad backwards so the control arms put it back in it's original position and I'm running 35x12. 5r18's on it comfortably now and it rides a TON smoother than stock.
