Anyone ever use DAYSTAR and their 1" and 1 1/2" leveling kits for a 2001 4x4 2500? I did not want the full 2" kit to prevent rear end sag when towing trailer.

When I tow heavy, It causes stock suspension to ride level. (which I dont mind at all) With 2" leveling, It will cause major sag in rear. Which I'm trying to stay away from. I was just wondering about Daystars 1" front lift kit since that was the only one I could find in 1".

Doh sorry I missunderstood.

If you add any spacer to the front I'd add a set of add-a-leafs or air bags to the rear to keep it level when towing.

Daystar

I believe the Daystars are poly, if so I would NOT recomend them. I have been told that the poly breaks down and wears out. Just my . 02.

I just ordered these for $99 from Kyle - I know the best option is replacing the entire springs but I just want a little more clearance and do not drive off road. Will let everyone know how they work out. I talked to Kyle and he would be willing to work a deal on a group purchase price. I told him about the TDR he drives a Dodge and will soon be joining our ranks.

This is the e-bay link below:

The only Daystars I have seen are 2".

I also would like about 1" of lift. I was originally thinking the Skyjacker coils, but after working on a friends truck with the coils and 285's it was a little more of a PIA than I would like. I guess if I built a work bench to stand on while working on the truck that would solve that problem :)

u guys have web sites to find a 2" leveling kit? and ur saying get the steel ones instead of the poly? the steel is cheaper anyways isnt it? and can i get 315 under the truck with the 2" spacers and be ok? my truck is a 99.

Unfortunately, with my 2wd, this is my only option. I have searched and searched.

The only negative comments I have found on the polys are like what JRG has said "I've heard", "I wouldn't", "Plastic under a diesel?".

Anybody who has them is happy and they're still holding.

Can someone talk me out of them? I think I'll go ahead and be the next guinea pig.

Btw, if anyone has any new info on some metal spacers for a 2wd let me know.

Scheibins,

My are made by Revtec, not sure if there is a set for 2wd, or if there is a differance between 2X and 4X. I do know that there is at least one other company, Tuff Country I think, that also makes them.

2" Leveling Kit

I've got the 2" Tuff Country. I believe their also made in Poly. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong. Only been installed for a couple of weeks so longevity is unknown... . Time will tell.

After installing the 2" lift my truck now sits level running 285's & when I hook up my 5vr it squats just a "tad"... Personally I think it looks great, and best of all now my 5vr runs down the highway level instead of nose high.

I guess if the "Tuff Country" 2" Leveling Kit doesn't hold up I'll have to buy the new taller front-end springs.

Clay:D

EDIT... . CLICK THIS LINK! The Tuff Country are STEEL!
