New cabover

Bad towing vibration!!!

Well I did it!

When hauling my trailer with the 19. 5" Ricksons, the trailer was up in the nose about 1"... as told on the level indicator... Hitch on bed and on trailer was all the way lowered so no more adjustment there...

Figured I needed some more room on the bed-rails anyway as I have a toyhauler and staging areas are not always flat. . Found out the axles were straight and UNDER the springs already!..... So I was to raise the trailer 2" and then raise the hitch adjustment up 1 hole which is 1". . This ought to level it and give a little more room.

I bought some Steel blocks I had made to length and width, (2x2x4") Drilled a hole for the spring pack bolt, Bought longer U-bolts 2" longer, Started last night and finished today. Trailer is def. Up but not comical like you see on the road these days...

Hooked the truck to the trailer and put the weight on it... PERFECTLY LEVEL. . I mean not even a hair off!!... So now all the tires are getting equal weight, and there is 8" of clearance between the bed and the trailer... Much better!

The one and only bad thing about this is the height of the trailer at the A/C units... yes (2) of them. . on the front, it is up a bit for the bedroom and now the trailer sits at 13' 6" clearing at the front and 13' 2" clear at the middle. The front of the trailer slopes down to 11' 6" at the front cap... .

here is a pic of my trailer and truck from awhile back. . Will get better side pics of this later this month when I take a trip.

13'6'' isnt bad. . try being 14'3''... with a flat nose... .

im glad with my GN i am sitting with the adjuster about 3 inches out. once i get my 19. 5's on with the 265's then i will have to take about an inch and a half out of it. maybe 2 inches.

nice looking trailer though.

Not with Ricksons 19. 5" 4500# rims and Michelin 12 ply "F" rated tires Rated at 4080# @95 psi... . . Uhhh About $665 per wheel/tire...

It's not that too heavy. . Max is 15,500 GVW and that is what it weighs. . Some of the weight is in the back and over the wheels so the pin is not too heavy.

Tires hardly squish and I have the Roadmaster Coil spring that goes on top of the spring... It has a slight preload so ANY load that goes on it, is progressive. Truck is level if not slightly down to the rear... Rides good.
