Shortbed Chevy Crewcab Dodge Or Chevy Frame?

4bt and th400 question

I've found a little car with a 1800 Leyland diesel. Can't find much info on this engine, anyone know it. Wondering about durability, parts availability can ya turn it up.

Thanks, RR

What make is it?

This must be in a British Car?

Is it a Morris, Austin, Riley, Rover ????

Would be nice to know the make & model.

The London Taxi Cabs are all Austin Diesels

Do a search on "google.co. uk" you would be supprised what turns up.

CC, engine is in a MG. Installed by a previous owner. Just trying to find a little info to help in the buy it or not decision.

Thanks, RJ

1800 Leyland

I just did a quick search on google for the 1800cc Leyland.

This is a BMC engine used in their cars & light vans/trucks.

It would be best to get in touch with some one like Old Classic Cars

as parts would only be available in the UK.

Also this site has some info on the 1800 diesel

http://www.austin-rover.co.uk/

It was used in the Austin/Morris Marina & Leyland Sherpa van.

I have not seen any thing of this engine on this side of the pond.

Hope this helps.
