i'm in need of a new set of tires soon, going to step up a size to 265/75/16,,Walmart has them for 88. 00 a tire. who has them and is there any complaints. they say Uniroyal and are load E.

I thought someone said they are made by Michelin.

Uniroyals, well I won't buy them for a lawn mower. Just my opinion.

What weight limits are on them? I see they are rated 'E's, but I've seen 'D's rated higher.

I've got a set of Liberators on my 02 4x4, and no problems (besides installation) in 25k miles. I do believe they are Michelin tires, though. This time around I had to be really budget minded. They seem to hold up decent.

I run the Liberators from Walmart on my truck and just put the 3rd set on last month in 128,000 miles of towing every single day it leaves the garage. I have gotten roughly 60,000 out of each pair and they were removed before the wear marks showed in the tread due to DOT regulations for towing. I also have never got one single flat tire with any of the 3 sets I have put on. They are made by Michelin specifically for Walmart. The last set I put on last month is the first time I seen Uniroyal on them but Walmart also raised the warranty from 40k to 50k when that happened, so I'm not concerned they say Uniroyal because that's why I bought the warranty. Most of my local tire dealers wouldn't warranty tires for me before because my truck tows a gooseneck every day but Walmart doesn't care and I can even pull in and get my tires rotated with the trailer attached. I would much prefer the look of BFG's on my truck but when you tow heavy they don't last! I hate Walmart just as much as most people do but if I can save 250 bucks and get a warranty with my tires that I change every 6 monthes then I will keep going back until they get greedy like the local tire shops.

I had a set on my 95' also. Got over 50k miles on them. That was pulling the horse trailer 90% of the time. Never had any trouble with mine. WalMart did the free rotation for me 2 or 3 times. I would buy another set. Larry.

I stopped at Walmart about 2 weeks ago and they said they weren't made by Michelin anymore. I'm not sure ,but I think they said they were made by Uniroyal.

Just so someone may want to know my bias towards Uniroyal tires, I have bought 12 tires over the years and all failed.

8 where on passenger vehicles and all had tread seperation failures. All were at or close to recommended pressures to and not over loaded. Another set was on a P- series van with 6600 lbs. on the axle, dealer installed, and at full sideway pressure, which was 65 lbs. Load range 'D'. Two failed on the same day! dealler said we were running them underinflated. I responded by saying they were still at the pressure your people set them to last week. He said we must run them at 80 psi!!! Within 2 months two more failed, I took them all off and called it a lesson. More than 1 failed by splitting a sidewall.

Uniroyal is owned by Michelin, so is BFGoodrich. But do not assume that you are getting Michelin quality at a cheap price. Uniroyal's are not built in Michelin tire plants, they are built in Uniroyal plants. Michelin uses Uniroyal to be their cheap entry level price point tire and the quality shows it.

Other than most are square they are tough. Wifes Durango had them on it when I got it. Rides like crap & they make as much noise os the Super Swampers do on our Mud Rig. Its like the oil debate, unless it is necessary (financially) Why put cheap on an expensive truck??!?!

I have them in 285/75 and i love them. Absolutely NO noise on the highways, track straight and got the warranty from walmart for an extra $10 a piece. I have had them for ~2000 miles and will probably buy again. BTW good so far in the snow of WI.
