What's with the insane plate charges? I've never paid more than 100. 00 for plates. I don't want to know how much plates are going to be if I have to move to TX. .
I priced tags for my new truck in CO and it was going to be over 1300. 00!!!!!! I opted to tag my truck in KS where my folks live and it cost me 37. 00.
When you plate a new vehicle in Wyo the first time, the sales tax is collected in full along with plate prices. No matter where the vehicle was purchased. When we bought our '98 used in 2000, we paid somewhere around $1500 for our first set of plates. Now its still around $200 a year.
Go buy a new one at $35k X 6% sales tax = $2100 + registration and plates = :{

A friend of mine has a DMAX crewcab and he is paying about $400 less than me and we both have same insurance CO. and multi car discounts,I guess maybe because this is a GM town and all here in Flint.
I got my personalized plates and a renewal for $208. 00. Taxes suck!! As for insurance, my agent bends me over the hood and slams me with $162. 00 every month. But I am only 22... Could be worse??
I just purchased a $200 plate for my TT it is a permanent plate and can never be transfered to another unit,but now with all the problems I am having with my roof leaking I wish I would have waited to buy the plate.
