License Plate time

Did anyone elses plates go up when they bought there new truck?

My 2000 was $109 and my new 2004 is $193 not to mention insurance jumped about $50 every 3 months:--)

Think mine were $78 for the "B" truck plate. Haven't gotten a renewal yet for this year on the Ram. The Ford was the same, though.



I know the apportioned plates for the farm semi went up $1k this year. Drive to many miles to have farm plates, like we do on our other truck.

What's with the insane plate charges? I've never paid more than 100. 00 for plates. I don't want to know how much plates are going to be if I have to move to TX. .

I priced tags for my new truck in CO and it was going to be over 1300. 00!!!!!! I opted to tag my truck in KS where my folks live and it cost me 37. 00.

My plates on my 04 were $60 for 4 years. ($15 a year) Oregon

How are states like CO and AZ more expensive that California for registration!!!??!?

When you plate a new vehicle in Wyo the first time, the sales tax is collected in full along with plate prices. No matter where the vehicle was purchased. When we bought our '98 used in 2000, we paid somewhere around $1500 for our first set of plates. Now its still around $200 a year.



Go buy a new one at $35k X 6% sales tax = $2100 + registration and plates = :{

Yearly registration is about $60-$70 a year here. Louisiana was $50 for 4 years.

A friend of mine has a DMAX crewcab and he is paying about $400 less than me and we both have same insurance CO. and multi car discounts,I guess maybe because this is a GM town and all here in Flint.

I got my personalized plates and a renewal for $208. 00. Taxes suck!! As for insurance, my agent bends me over the hood and slams me with $162. 00 every month. But I am only 22... Could be worse??

I just purchased a $200 plate for my TT it is a permanent plate and can never be transfered to another unit,but now with all the problems I am having with my roof leaking I wish I would have waited to buy the plate.
