DieHard Platinum Batteries on Sale

P7100 Fuel plate help

After having my five yr old stock batteries replaced with Diehard Platinums one side at a time),my mileage meter now reads a full mpg higher than before upon starting. Vehicle cranks and runs identical. The stockers were fine, but I got in on Sear's Platinum deal so out they went.

Hopefully,my fe is up and it's not the ecm bubbling over with joy with it's new pacemaker

I've got half a tank to go so I'll check it soon.

Keeping my fingers crossed. :)

Interesting, I wonder if your old batteries were putting that much of a load on the alternator. . or it's something else.

ya know. . its possible. . my batts are original 2003 batts, and my mileage is down 2 mpg. . wonder if the charge rate has went thru the roof. I've seen batts suck 130 amps non stop out of an alt. . how much hp is that??

When I replaced my batteries, I noticed that one was completely dead. I kind of like the load on the alternator theory, but don't really think that it would be noticeable in mileage. It would be kind of like turning the ac on and off and seeing if there was a mileage change. I did get a 1-mph increase by changing tires from All-terrains to MS.

130 amps = 2 hp
