I know, that s**ks. My Wife and I bought a Pacifica on Thursday and the dealer called on Friday. He said that he did not know about the warranty when he delivered the car on . I really lucked out on this. The car was supposed to be ready on Wednesday, but hey could not complete the leather install. He told me if the leather would have been ready on Wednesday and we had pick up the car we would have been SOL.

He also added, before I could ask, that diesels were not included. I told them that I would have been there in an hour to order a new truck if they had been included. I have put over 400K miles on Dodge diesels in the past 7 years. With that kind of warranty, i could have traded and now and not traded again for 6 or 8 years.

And who would buy a chassis cab that's not a diesel? To me that's like buying a hybrid semi...

If I recall I believe the Hemi is the base engine in a chassis cab.

I guarantee you will see some out there burning gas... . oh well to each his own.

It's simple dollars and cents. I'm sure some very smart analysts looked over data with all the costs and they determined that it just does not pay. And besides, the HD trucks and diesels are still selling fairly well, so why have the contingent liability on the books. So in short, they aren't stupid.
