Off Roading 32" Suspension lift and 2 wheel drive?

I used to work at a 4x4 shop & we NEVER installed blocks except what was stock & even then we encouraged our customers to lose the blocks & switch to fully arched spring packs alone or combined w/ ladder bars &/or a thing called a "traction lift". The "traction lift" was a kind of combination traction bar, lift block. Trouble w/ it was it severely limited wheel travel. There are a lot more options now days, some not terribly expensive.

The best way to achieve LOTS of lift is via leading/trailing arm suspension & air bags if you need to carry weight & if you aren't doin' any haulin' using custominzed long-travel coil overs (aka, monster truck type suspension).

If you want to fit large tires, design it right w/ the correct offset wheels, cool lookin' aftermarket fender flares & a little lift & you don't need giant lift. Usually this is less expensive in the end.

I fit 36" Buckshot Mudders on my '71 Chevy K20 using only a 4" Skyjacker Softride lift & some custom Firestone overload airbags I put together myself plus a tad of fender trimming. How? I ran narrower tires on narrow rims & kept 'em tucked under the fenders. Others guys w/ the same model truck have to run 8" lift or 6" lift w/ a 2" body lift w/ a whole lot of fender cutting to clear tires the same height, but only 3" wider.
