That’s right yall, I’m going to lift my 2005 this Summer, would have done it this past Summer, but kept hearing mixed reviews from different shops.

What I’m looking for.....

I want to clear 37" tires without any rubbing on the control arms, bumper or fenders. I don’t want to have to cut-out, saws-all anything or trim if possible. If it can’t be done with 37" I will happily go down in tire size if I have to.

Which tires would be best for what I am trying to achieve above? I hunt & fish, occasionally track through clay & mud looking at Real Estate & property. I do traverse through deep snow here and there so off-road capability and aggressiveness is more important to me than noise or street ride, I drive a diesel so I can tolerate a little NVH.

Also can you recommend a nice looking wheel & size for my application? I am thinking a billet style 17 or 18 or Blacked-out Wagon style wheels? But not entirely sure?

Who’s lift would you go with? The local Dodge Dealer had a beautiful Mega Cab last week with a huge “twin Fox-shock kit w/ reservoirs” up front and singles in the rear with reservoirs. I asked three sales people, but they where dumbfounded and had no clue who made the lift or who installed it. Also this truck had those silly 22" Bling-Bling wheels and what looked like a Low-Profile Off-Road tire (Nitto Grappler) I think??? Any way I’m not a fan of the low-profile Off-road tire look. Yet the truck was way up in the air, brand new on the showroom floor.

I know Kore is the name of the game around TDR but if there is a quality kit that I can get to achieve the look and requirements above I’m open. I want to get a transmission soon to, so I don’t want to spend all my loot on the Kore system.

This is what my rig looks like now. I will sale off my 285's with the oem polished Laramie wheels once I get closer, so if anyone is interested I will keep you in the loop as the time approaches.

Thanks in advance

Ok so I went back to the dealer & shot some pictures of the lift I want. What do you guys think?

Like I said earlier, I will be going with more of an off-road tire though.

I'm also looking to lift which attracted me to your thread. I'm with you on the wheel selection combined with the Fabtech lift... . It screams "What's wrong with this picture"?

I've got BFG 315's and a 2" TC Level Kit. I want to go 4-5". Leaning toward Superlift with new leaf springs and a shock upgrade... still in decision mode.

Not a real big fan of the multi-shock look personally.

I don't have anything significant to add....

How much lift does that truck have?

I'm one of the guys who likes the big tire/big rim look, but that's a differrent discussion.

I like the axle straps where the OE shocks used to be.

You fellas might want to check out the Rockkrawler "Desert Ram" lift kit, it is the best thing I've seen next to Kore. You get 6 or 7 inches of lift, coil-over shocks all around and new beefy control arms. Top quality and functional instead of all looks/no function.

CATwrench,

Do you have a link to their site??

It looks cool but the problem I see with the Rockcrawler suspension is you will loose some weight carrying capacity and when the suspension moves up and down the axle rotates which will change the pinion angle of the axle and in addition, in the front end the caster angle and the toe-in will change slightly. The front of the rockcrawler is very similar to Furds current super doody front end. I’d prefer to stay with the 4 link front.
