Take a 3500 4 X 4, put 6" lift on it, and get 35" tires. How hard is it to recalibrate the speedo so you get the correct speed? Is this something a Bully Dog or other DIY programmer can do or do you have to go to the dealer?

Any recommendations for a good lift kit and big tires? If I do it to this truck, I want to do it right. Plus, I think the bigger tires will help me out with the short G56 overdrive.

Unfortunately, dealers can only recalibrate the speedo to a 285-70R-17, nothing larger on any 2006+ rams. The new scanners for these vehicles only allow the technician to choose from a set of tire sizes that come factory on the vehicles (this size being on a powerwagon). The old system allowed the technician to load in tire revolutions per mile, thus allowing the input of ANY tire size. I am personally not terribly pleased with the way they did it, but oh well, that's what i get!!!
