I am running Skyjacker Softride 4". Good Setup. PO had 35's. PO had bad crash that sheared front spring mount off frame, bent front of frame 8" to the right, and may have bent the front axle. The springs survived! (shocks pretzeled though)
As I had 3 springs with broken leafs on builder truck I decided to try the 4" lift kit as I already had most of it.
I recommend the 4" lift front spring, rear 6" lift spring and replace the 6" block with a 2" block. This levels the truck with 4" / 2" lift.
The front spring mount bushing sleeve needs to be tossed and just use the bolt. It seems a tad hokey, but I can't find anyone that had problems with it.
4" drop Pitman arm, I have the adjustable drag link, but I'm not sure how much that is needed. The ride is bouncier / softer than the stock springs.
If you retain the swaybar the kit calls for lowering the frame mounting point 2" with their kit. Not a big deal.
I am currently running sans swaybar for better articulation and it is great offroad. Without the swaybar things are a little skittish if I really get on it. I don't know if I am wrapping the softer rear springs a little or what. I will install my swaybar with the drop to see if that takes care of the little full throttle dance I do.
My overall impression is that it is a good system, but maybe a little high for my taste. I think I may come back down to 2" front with some Alcan springs. Time will tell.
I would recommend this system with the following caveats:
If you have a SRW 350, it looks like you are putting 250 springs in it. I would not feel comfortable pushing the envelope with a really big load.
There is no provision to move the rubber bump stops. My articulation stops when the front spring shackle is touching the frame.
Reinforce the steering box area of the frame.
It looks like someone on ramchargercentral.com is making the old style dodge reinforcing bracket for the RC crowd
At 6'tall, I can get in without steps, but my steering wheel would like me to have some. If you were in and out of this truck all day, I would not go so high.
Good Luck with the lift.
