Anyone out there with a 4" lift kit? What size tires and what do you like and don't like about it. How did it affect everyday driving and towing performance? Thinking about lifting, but I don't know if it will just be a pain in the rear in the future years.

I have a 6" super lift with 35''s on my truck and i love it. As far as i can tell my proformance it almost uneffected by the lift(iv pulled a 11K horse traler up and over the searas and have put a 3500lb concrete pallet in the back of my truck with no problem), i do however recomend taller rear leaf spring instend of the block lift that come with most kits and get polyurathan bushing. Its handling is almost identicle to when it was stock. and if anything ride quality has improved, just dont get mudtires, mine berly lasted me 15k, at's are the only way to go IMO.

MCabrera, a lot depends on the reasons for lifting. I had been running just a leveling kit with 37 inch Goodyear MTR's and just installed the KORE RACE suspension. What a difference. The truck is nearly level still, and has more travel, and rides so much better. It just soaks up the crappy roads here in Phoenix. And with 37's, it's very tall compared to all other vehicles on the road.

I guess I need to start giving rides.

Thanks guys. I've been checking out the Tuff Country kit. I guess I want it just for the ocassional off road trek, but it will probably be just for looks. If anything maybe I will just go with a leveling kit and new wheels and tires.

LMAO - that's the quote of the day. You should come take a tour of our 'pristine' roads here in Cleveland after a snowy, salted winter. :-laf

Yeah LightmanE300, I know, there are crappy roads everywhere. Try Dallas roads once, they'll bounce you out of your seat, if your not strapped in.

MCabrera, I have my leveling spacers hanging around if you are interested. For the occasional off-road trek, believe me, the KORE system is made for this. Off-road manners are even better than on-road.

I've now taken a detour home every night that takes me through an area of farm land, that has a nice 30 degree slope. This follows a side road for the farm access for about 1 mile between Camelback and Bethany Home, on the far west side near the White Tanks. I can go up and down this slope at a 45 degree angle, and with a stock suspension, you'd slow down at the base of the slope, and go up or down it easy, now I hit it at 40+, and it just soaks it up. Unbelievable, is all I can say. On the regular access fields between the actual crops, normal speed is around 30-40, I've had it up to 65-70(night driving with stock lights suck!), but I know I can go faster, if I had better lighting.

I'm running the Tuff Country 4" with 35's. Love it, it is mostly for looks. I tow a 10k trailer with no problems. I also lifted my trailer 5" as well, Handles just as good as stock. If your not gonna rail off road its a good lift. I do 4 x 4 mine, I just dont thrash it.
