Lift or Not

I have an 06 megacab. I want to put 37x13. 50x17 Pro Comp Xtreme A/T tires on it. I don't want a huge lift. What would I have to do to clear the fenders and not have any trouble with the turning radius? Leveling kit or some kind of lift. Maybe a 2" or 4" lift?

Leveling Kit will only get you by for 35s. For 37s, a lift is the onlly way to go. Now, you just need to decide which lift to go with. Quality, performance and price vary quite a bit.



2" will not give enough clearance. 4" should do the trick.

level kit & body lift would pass possibly. not sure if cheaper. but if you go that far, just get the full suspension lift. 4" should be plenty for 37s.

What brand of lift is good. I am trying to stay cheap but with good quality. I will not be pounding it off road, mainly highway and some offroad.

Pay close attention to wheel offset. The more they stick out the higher you have to go.

For strictly lift with mostly street, road driving and a little off road Superlift is pretty good. No its nowhere near the class of a Carli or Kore but nowhere near the cost.

The following all make 4-6 inch kits. I have owned and would recommend pro comp. I have a Skyjacker on my 99 2nd gen and it was a fairly good kit that rides well. the rear axle twists a bit much but traction bars can fix it.

I have the rockrunner 6 inch lift from superlift and it is a good lift. However I did have a problem with my 37, 12. 50, 17 rubbing until they wore down a little. Also if you want this lift order a pure performance track bar before the install the stock track bar is horrible, at least it was for me (alot of popping) but with the pure performance (formally rock krawler) it is great. Now if I had to do it all over again I would go with the Lorenz or Spirson suspension. Hope this helps

I dont think a 4 inch will get you by, but as mentioned above... its all about the wheels you choose(and the tires sidewall). I have a 6inch superlift with 20x10 mazzi hulk wheels and 37x13. 5 nitto mud grapplers. I had to trim some
