Hi all, guess add me to the lift pump failure list. Here is what happened. I ordered Westach fuel gauge, banjo bolt kit, fuel pressure line and boost and egt. combo. I installed the replacement banjo yesterday on the bottom of the fuel filter housing. I had not installed the other four banjos. I must note the openings are considerably bigger on the replacements. I cycled the key twice and bled the air from the Schrader valve. Truck started fine after cranking about 5 seconds. Fuel pressure was between 14 and 15 pounds. Took truck for a drive this morning and fuel pressure idling was 6 pounds. Hmmm! I then took the truck out of town for about 4 miles and pressure dropped to nothing:confused: . Egts got up to about 950 and boost hit about 18 psi. Brought truck home and parked it fearful of smoking the VP-44. I check for codes by doing the key switch thing and all clear. This truck has no fuel mods or electronics, just a BHAF and straight pipe. Also mileage is just under 36,000. Is it time to shell out for a FASS and get it over? Anyone else experience this when they first hooked their gauges up? I know, S. O. S. , different day, but sucks when it is you! :{
