I changed the L/P on my 95 Dodge 6 months ago with a new one from ebay. It has now gone bad. I removed it an checked it against a pump that came off a 98 Dodge. I found that the cam plunger on the ebay unit was a 1/4" shorter than the Carter pump from the 98. Both trucks still had the strainer/heater mounted between the block & L/P. Can anyone tell me what the proper length is for the plunger? Is there a differance in L/P's between 94 & 98?

Thanks

Rick

The plunger is 3 3/8" long. Don't know if there were differences in the years, 3 3/8" is from a '97 OE pump.

If you have old pumps/parts that you want to get rid of I'd be interested. The main spring in my old pump broke so if I could get one those I'd have a spare to carry with me.
