99, 2500 quad 4 WD, 3. 54, 4" ex, 275's, Amsoil air filter, gages, 50,000 miles and no fuel pump replacement yet. Infact zero problems!:)

My pump went from 15-16 at idle to 9-10. Somtimes lower.

Just going down the freeway you could drop to 6 without even getting on it.

Even saw it sit at 3-4 for a couple minutes.

Needless to say it is gone now and replaced by something much better.

Don't forget that the 2001 was the highest production year when trying to piece together your statistics. I think that it is just an overall bad design and placement.

lift pumps are garbage

You people tell me !!! This is the 5 TH lift pump that has been on this 99 The last pump lasted about 10 months before going south They replaced the filter and this gave me NO more pressure and the pressure varied between 5. 5 and 12 lbs with the new filter does this sound like agood deal to you. :{ The pressure is back to 14. 5 and 14 after the filter. the same as a year ago . Guess that I will have to replace them once a year . Don't worry the dealer wasn't able to diagnose the failed lift pump for over two years . Must say that owning a Dog is extreamly expensive . Seats. pumps all lasting a year don't make enough money for this setup. The filters that I have opened up have been very clean so don't see that as being a problem . Still working on the Engine bucking problem will use a scope soon.

Here's the deal guys, you buy the truck, keep it stock and drive it for less than 5 years and 100K miles and trade for a new one before the warranty runs out. :( That's my solution ;)
