www.dieselpp.com has them - maker of the FASS

They use them in the "pump only" kit

Tomeygun, you can buy that part seperate from a whole kit? where would you suggest to purcase this item on the net as I don't see that you can buy from them on their web, Thanks marv

I am not sure if you can buy it seperatly - I would call them

On the other hand, Not a bad time to just upgrade anyway, Although I think mine is a bit loud, But then again I did not mount it with rubber, Imine is direct to metal - It gets a little resonence(sp)

With the statements below, is this an adapter that replaces the factory LP if it is removed so the stock fuel fuel filter, WIF light and heater can still be used ?

Yes. Too bad Scotty's not making them anymore. He was the only person I could find willing to sell me JUST the adaptor plate. Neither DD nor DPP were willing to sell anything other than the complete kit.

Good luck! I think I heard there's someone else out there willing to sell just the adaptor, but I don't recall who.

That Riceboy title does not fit me at all. It says that RiceBoy loves new technology. And riceboy always goes with personal attacks such as calling people names like "gay". None of those I do, there are more than a few people that do like starting the personal attacks.

If you enjoy dropping the tank and taking a diesel bath then thats your problem. You can also remove the bed and make it a lot easier on yourself. Lowing tank or raising the bed are both a pain in the butt. You know why mopar changed the design?? Well, costs more to replace an in the tank pump. More Profit. Sorry you cannot see that.

Next time you make a comment about me being a riceboy, know I am more anti immigration, anti outsourcing than you will ever ever be. The word rice just doesnt fit.

And there you have it... Another Post successfully hijacked!

Maybe the people that make the R. A. S. P fuel system, Does it have that adapter? Maybe they will sell it alone...

I'm pretty sure the RASP doesn't use the same adaptor, since it keeps the stock LP in the stock location.

Scotty probably wasn't making enough money on it to make it worth his while to machine. FASS probably represents at least 75% of the market for low pressure fuel systems, with AirDog and RASP making up most of the difference. There just aren't as many "do it yourselfers" anymore when it comes to this. Even many of the "old timey" 2nd gen owners who had homemade setups have gone over to the FASS side. Nothing wrong with that, although I still believe a person can do better than FASS, AirDog, and RASP with a little creativity (and a whole lot of time).

Before I discovered Scotty I had planned to make my own adaptor by gutting someone's failed LP.

Does anyone happen to know who the supplier for the FASS pump is?

Ryan-

I have my good lift pump with hard tube attached taking up room at my place after I installed Scotty's kit. It's yours if you pay shipping! I just want an adapter if you make one - i. e. , #2 on your production run!

BTW there's a guy on DTR that machined an adapter and has pictures in his gallery. I emailed him a while back about making some more and he said he still had all the measurements. I think he went by "Muffy" on that site.

I appreciate it, but you're 1 year too late. I've already completed my system using the adaptor I got from Scotty.

Scotty's a great guy; if there's enough interest maybe someone can convince him to make another small production run.

If in tank fuel pumps are so bad, why has nearly every gasoline engine car, built in the last 20 years, have one? Well EBottema???

R. A. S. P does come with an adapter, if you want the adapter alone, I can get it for around $55. you can also tap the top of the adapter for a pressure gauge.

Because, most likely, the wonderful engineers at DC will try to utilize a pump designed to pump gasoline as a replacement (why redesign a pump you already make for the gassers when we can just throw it in the tank of the CTDs... )... just like the Carter LP on the second gens, which is actually designed to pump gasoline, which is a whole lot easier to pump than diesel.

DC is great (just like GM in the 80s) about trying to utilize stuff for gas engines for other unintended applications.

I don't know if I would assume that. The in tank pump on the gassers can do up-wards of 100 psi unregulated and are then regulated down to approx 50 psi.

It is the fact that gasoline is easier to pump than gasoline... restricting the flow pressure will also add strain to the electric motor of the pump... IMO, whatever mileage the gasser boys get, figure less than half of that with a diesel if it is indeed a gasoline pump in the retrofit.

I don't see DC making two pumps when they already have one that is a drop in from a gasser... call me pesemistic, but I have seen it before.
