Something to think about!!!

I changed my fuel filter 4 times now and on the first 3 times I had a full tank of fuel. Check fuel psi. each time before I start and after the job is done always had 12psi after only 3 bumps of the key and it starter right up.

The last time I only had 1/4 tank of fuel and I had 12psi before I started and I had a real hard time getting it primed after I changed the filter. Well after about 1/2 an hour it started and now max fuel psi is 10 I think I hurt my lift pump.

From now on I will never change a fuel filter with less then a full tank of fuel.



Just something to think about.

Hmmmm...

You may be on to something. I had my injector pump replaced about 3 weeks ago. I had about 1/2 tank of fuel when this was done. Max pressure before the change was 12 - 13 idle. Since the day I picked it up after the pump change the max pressure has been 10 - 11 idle. Similar drop at cruise and WFO. New lift pump purchased and going in within the next week or so.

Add me to list. I had the same thing happen and thought it might have been the filter but the pressure has never returned after 3 more changes. I too will be purchasing a pump in the near future. It is holding steady a 9-10psi idle 7 psi @ 70 and 5 psi WOT
