Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Lift pump install

I am on my way to Cummins SP to pickup my first lift pump. I am picking up the pump and the banjo washers:

3990105 - Pump

3935171 - Washers



Do I need the wiring harness also? This is going on a 2001. 5.

When I got my replacement pump they gave me another wiring harness with it. I don't remember if I had to pay for it or not, but the parts guy said it was needed. On my truck it turns out that the parts guy was wrong and I did not need it. It's still in the box in my garage.

Thanks for the fast response Mike. When I talked to them on the phone, they said it would cost extra so I don't want it if I don't need it!! Thanks again.

You don't need the harness for your truck. It is for the older trucks.
