How do you know if the lift pump has been moved to the tank? I have changed LP's before on my 02 but on this 03 I am looking at there is nothing that I can see that looks like a LP. Does someone have a picture of the stock LP location in on a 3 gen?

James, On an 03 the lift pump sets vertically right on the backside of your fuel filter canister, between the canister and your firewall. It is all black, you cant miss it if it has not been relocated. I do not have a picture but hopes this helps.

James, thanks for asking the question.

JJ, thanks for the reply. BTW, Do you know what tools are needed to change it? And/or any surprises a person will find when changing it? Thanks

If I remember correctly it is mounted with four(4) 5mm allen bolts. Other than that, one hose clamp and one wire connection. It is a pain to get to.

Removing the inner fender will help a bunch. There is an o-ring on the inlet of the pump where it pushes into the filter housing. Be careful with that as it likes to fall out. If you are putting a new one in you have to push the pump in to seat the o-ring and hand start the 5mm screws. It takes a little finess but when you get it you know.
