Also posted in 911 section. Truck is 99 24v. Just Changed the fuel filter and when I bump the starter to prime it no fuel is being pumped from the lift pump. The lift pump will make a buzzing sound for about 25 seconds but is not pumping any fuel. Any idea what the culprit could be. I cracked open all the banjo bolts including the one on the LP itself and not a drop.

Thanks!

You have already been answered in the 911 post, but it is the lift pump. They can run and still not pump. As was stated in the other post, now would be a good time to get away from the stock lp and go with something better. There are some good aftermarket pumps out there. Randy

Put a new LP on, still no fuel. Instead of wating everyones time back and forth between this and the 911 thread, I will just update there.

I had this similar problem a few years ago and with some trouble shooting, I found that the fuel line from the tank that runs between the tank and frame hed been abrated by lots of dirt/mud that had been trapped there from use in the oil field by the previious owner. Pulled the tank to find this and was able to replace this line from the junk yard as I think this line is the same on either gas or diesel in the 1999 2500. The vehicle was getting hard to start and loosing pI highly recommernower and as a result of this failure, the VP-44 went south within a year and Chip at Bluechip did the VP-44 replacement.
