Archived Lift pump not running????????

I had a new one installed 5-6K miles ago. The truck was parked and then 1/2 hour later I went to start it and I don't hear the lift pump kicking in. I checked all the fuses. Is there a seperate one for the lift pump? Don't really see one listed. Any ideas? Thanks! What is Dodge 1 800 #### I guess it is still under warranty at 65,000. I have 100,000 miles Dodge warranty.



I just called and they said roadside coverage has ceased because of miles.

The 100,000 mile warranty doesn't cover the roadside assistance tow?

100 k covers the engine and accessories, I. E. turbo, LP, VP44 . . . no towing or free rentals involved. Did your truck start? Jog the key once (turn to start and release real quick so it doesnt start) LP should run for 30 seconds or so. Best way to check is with a gauge . . . do you have any? It's had to tell w/o gauges cause a failed LP will sometimes still sound like it's working and not move fuel. Hope all is well.

I was so POed I didn't even look at the gauge. I'll look in the morning I just left it there. Thanks for your help keep you posted. There was no noise from it at all.

The electrical connections to the lp is one of the main failure points I think. You might try to unplug and replug the power connector to the lp.

AND the answer is Dodge is a Piece Of CRAP! After towing it for $150 to the dealer they told me after 5 hr. labor it was the wiring harness under the dash the goes between the ECM and the BUS. They said the harness was chaffed.

$492. 50 :--) later it runs again. This truck is getting costly to maintain :{ with the other problems it has had. They can't even make a wiring harness.

I'm feeling your pain. Truck was towed to dealer yesterday. Not seeing the ecm also. 30" on the way and plow sitting with no truck. I removed all the wiring for the TST and pray it wasn't the culprit. Will be covered if they find it had nothing to do with it. This might cost me a lot of green.
