I've got a pretty good leak around my lift pump. If I prime it while holding my hand under the pump I can fill it up with fuel. Can someone give me the LP P/N, and the P/N of the ruber hose between the LP and the pre filter?

Also If you have ever changed the LP any tips. How does it make contact in the moter. Does it just pull out once the bolts are removed?

Thanks, Ken

KennyM,

If the push button is leaking, the O-ring to fix it is about fifty cents at NAPA. You don't have to remove the lift pump to replace it.

JOE, I'm not sure it's the Push buttin. I just used it to build up pressure so I could find the leak.

Lethlisb, Thanks, that the P/N I wanted.

I just got back from Cummins with my new one. I will rebuild the old one later and throw it on the shelf.

Thanks, Ken

Now you have me wondering if the LP I've been carrying around as a spare for the last few months will work. I'll bet I won't be able to tell just by looking at them will I? :(

Cooker,

The fitting on your pump looks like a nut on top of a larger nut. Mine looks like one large nut so I'm guessing it will work.

The Cummins OEM part number is 3936316. The part number for the washers is 3963983.

You don't happen to have the Cummins Gasket P/N for the lift pump do you. I go tit all taken apart, went to get the gaskets out of the bag and realized I had the Banjo washers. Should have checked that while at Cummins. Thanks.
