Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Lift Pump,Pressure sending unit

I recently purchased a 2002 2500 and after reading about lp pressure problems oredered a pump and an electric light sending unit. I installed the warning light system first and noticed the light hesitated a few seconds before going off, hmmm. When the new pump was installed the warning light goes off instantly! The odometer read 39850. Thanks to those here who advised the pump replacement and the pressure sending system, money well spent. Tom

Warning Light

Ron, The light is included in a kit that has an electric sending unit that is installed after the LP. I mounted the light in the dash. I chose this system over mechanical with guage. The company has both systems available. If you would like to contact them I can provide their phone number and the kit number. Tom

Tom, just would like to know how it works . Is it set or can you set it for low limit ? I use a electric gauge post filter out let to off eng sending unit . Use monitor the operation of the pump in each phase and while running . A warning light may be a good thing to add ,as some times I forget to check the gauge Its mounted on a stalk coming from the floor under the cup holder up to mid way on the dash left of the shifter stalk and has bracket to dash ,but a in line of sight light would give extra safety . Why bother with a light when you can have a electronic pressure gauge with the same hookup.
