just installed a bully dog fuel pump kit ( holly blue pump and half inch line) I had 15 psi with the stock lift pump at idle and no great drop off at wot, the kit showed hooking this in line with the stock lift pump now I have 27 psi at idle and around 20 at wot. with this hooked in line if the stock pump fails will it let fuel from the holly pump pass threw the stock pump and can you have to much fuel pressure and blow seals or will it just go back to the tank. also looking for the best wire to hook the pump into right now i have it hooked on the seat belt fuse.

big fuel kit

just ordered the Bully Dog big fuel kit--I am impressed with your pressure readings-mine are 10-13 at idle with stock pump w/54000 mi on unit. problem is sporadic pressure while running down the road 1-13 p. s. i. I hope this will cure the ills of this system. Are you running a fuel pump relay and if so where did you mount it? Also can't you run relay wire from original pump wiring to trigger relay switch?

I DID NOT HOOK IT UP WITH A RELAY . IT WOULD BE A GOOD IDEAL AND IS RECOMMENDED ALL I HAVE DONE IS INSTALLED A 7. 5 AMP. IN LINE FUSE. THE REASON I DID NOT USE THE ORIGINAL PUMP WIRE IS IT SAID TO HOOK TO SWITCH HOT IS THIS WIRE A SWITCH HOT OR DO YOU HAVE TO GO TO THE CRANK POSITION FOR VOLTAGE ?? I WOULD LIKE TO HOOK IT UP SOME PLACE ELSE BECAUSE I HAVE VOLTAGE WHEN THE KEY IS ON ACC. ALSO. DON'T NEED THE PUMP RUNNING TO LISTEN TO THE RADIO.
