Just take it to the dealer, your covered under the 5 year 100K warranty. The pump has been revised several times the latest ends in AA suffix. Good luck

Well dealer is definately out with comp hooked to pump wire i will buy it and install i got 2 numbers which one is latest for my 99. THANKS AGAIN

Just had mine replaced by the dealer, last week. The number I gave you was the latest version off this site, and the part number on my repair sheet from the dealer... ;)

Forgot to mention... If your buying the lift pump, and installing it yourself, get it from a Cummins repair facility. Cost about $140-150. It's the same pump as the dealer has, but they will charge you almost double that amout for it... ;)

Checked Cummins by me early last week (just in case dealer was going to be a butt head) they had 4 coming in, $168. 00. Get info off your engine data plate before you call they need serial number 8 numbers all numbers no letters.

They were between $140-$150 just a few weeks ago (Cummins NW)... Must be the "supply and demand" theory at its best... ;)

Yeah I heard that - I was surprized myself, as I previously heard $148. 00. Probably should pick one up as a spare anyway going on X-Country trip again this summer - got 92,500 miles and dealer just put a new one on last week. Just hope if it goes bad it dosent take me the 2. 5 hours it did for the dealer's Tech to install one. :-laf

I just picked up a lift pump today #3990105 $ 146. 00. From LA Freightliner in Fontana, Calif. Phone # 909-510-4000. Open 24 Hrs. ;)
