As far as pics, I know MIDon is waiting on them, but my sis is borrowing the cam at the moment or I'd get the pics for ya. Super simple install, get the banjo bolt from Genos thats tapped for 1/8" pipe plug, two washers, the gauge, and 6' boost or oil pressure tubing. Thats if you wanna go fuel direct. Then just carry a 1/8" pipe plug in case the cab leaks in the cab. Shut truck off, no more fuel, then plug the hole at the banjo. Ambition, well I need to get with it, I've done lots to my truck and haven't updated my RR's albums.

Spare pump huh? Well I'll let Greenleaf answer that one for ya:D.

Which port do you put the tapped banjo in?

The one after the fuel filter looks like maybe it is the easiest to get to?

The new banjo bolt will fit either one. Intstall it in the one above the filter. This is down stream of the element and you'll know exactly what pressure your feed ing the VE. Pull the other banjo bolt and drill out the holes to the same as the new tapped bolt. lightly countersink the holes you drill out ie radius/chamfer whatever... . with a larger drill bit.

Hey Bill, why don't you post the part numbers so we can all get the same exact bolts that you got so we can all be cool also. :-laf Thats all that I need is another gauge.  Ever since you guys started talkin' about our trucks and fuel pressure I figured that it would be something that I need to monitor. I don't know which gauge though, I like Bill's idea, then I won't have to run all of those silly power, ground, and signal wires. :)

Get the bolts in the pic. BF-LU- get one. BF-LT- get one. BF-39351 get 4, two per bolt. I went the expensive way, and bought the 24V kit, which has the isolator, which I didn't use. So if I just bought two bolts, four washers, 6 foot of boost tubing or pressure tubing, which is what is used for the fuel pressure gauge, and a single gauge, I would have saved money. I'm sure someone more mechanically inclined than me could rig up a shutoff valve under the hood in case of a leak at the gauge. But after I got it connected at the banjo and the gauge in the cab, before I put the gauge in the pod, I let it run for sometime to make sure nothing leaked. In the FP gauge kit instructions, it warns of NOT overtightening the fittings at the banjo and gauge. Something like only 15ftlbs or less can't member. I just snugged things up, and watched for leaks, none so fer.

Although let me warn ya, after FP gauge install, you might find out your lift pump is goin south and or just another gauge to keep you worried all the time once you romp on the fuel and see that 4psi at idle go to zero at wot. Then you'll be like me, wondering if a 24V LP is needed, a pusher pump????? Huh? ZERO FP can't be good!!!

Oh and btw, gonna be hard to be cool like me with the street I live on :D.

ordered mine last week, just got one tapped one and some washers though. With a stock pump didn't really figure I needed the other one.

I don't have a permanent guage to mount, will just use it to test and put a plug in it when done.

Your VE will appreciate the improved fuel flow of both upgraded bolts, up and down stream. If you didn't order two, then do as Greenleaf said and drill out the old down stream bolt. A FP gauge will show the difference my friend.

Hey thanks Bill, That'll help me get exactly what I need. Oh, and I guess that I could have a whole truck full of gauges but that street of yours,... well, I don't think that I can beat that!!

BTW, I hate to say this right after I tried to sound all smart and noble, but you might triple check that the fuel pressure gauge tubing is in fact BOOST or OIL pressure tubing. I'm pretty sure I compared the FP tubing to the BP tubing and they were exactly the same, both having the same printing/words numbers letters etc on them. I will check soon on the extra I had left over on from the FP kit vs BP kit. BTW for the everyone else that didn't follow me to my house, my last name be Gilbert, street I live on is Gilbert Avenue... ... no I didn't plan that either. .
