Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Lift pump questions

I have an 02 and i would like to add an aux lift pump. Mods to the truck are diablo power puck, 80hp jammers, and full set of gauges. My truck has the intank pump. I am looking for recommendations of pump. Also i was looking at the BD Diesel aux pump kit, anyone have an info on that pump good or bad?

In 2002, I bought a Pusher Pump Kit for my 2000 truck (now wrecked - kit available) from Doug at:

I never again had any issues with my lift pump except for electrical connections, and those were my own fault. I recommend this kit if they are still selling it.



That truck had TST injectors and an Edge Comp box. I don't know what the horsepower level was.

I had the in tank pump on my truck and could barely get 5 psi unloaded at highway speed. best was 7 psi at idle. Had to replace vp44 at under 100,000 because of it. I now have a FASS 95 gph. It is cheaper than the in tank conversion($500) and won't drop less than 13 psi at WOT

I used the FASS but still don't trust electric pumps so I came up with this system.

I went thru three factory lift pumps, got tired of dealer. purchased Glacier Diesel kit. Put 80,000 on it no problems- 19 psi idle and 14 full load. Had a problem ; yesterday pump pressure erratic , my low pressure alarm would come on then shut off with return of psi. Difficult to figure out ... turns out the fuel pump relay in PDC had bad contacts. . replaced relay , things back to normal. I like the Glacier kit and he is a TDR sponsor.

I have an 01. 5 and after replacing the factory lift pump three times, I decided to go with the GDP kit also. Richard is an excellent guy to deal with. I got the unit very quick. Fairly straightforward to install. After about 11 months, I had an issue with it where the pump ceased to function. I called Richard and he sent me another one that day! Warranty with no questions asked. Great customer service. Recommend this to everyone.
