I was hauling a big load of hay this morning when I noticed that I was loosing power. The truck finally just quit. I am hoping that it is the lift pump as I had to replace one at 35000 miles and now I am at 77000 miles. The only mod on the truck is an edge ez and I think that a fuel pump every 35000 is rediculous! What do you recommend to do for a replacement? Relocation or total replacement? Btw the truck is a 2001 1t 4x4

I just added a Glacier Diesel pump and it give me 20 psi, way better than the stock pump. It's mounted on the inside frame rail just ahead of the tank. Apparently it is restricted to only use 15% of it's true power so there is no strain on it.

RGARDNER, by updating your signature with vehicle information, we can all get a better idea of why this could be happening. Personally, I suspect that it could be the VP44 as the 2nd gen trucks will run with a bad LP. I had 0psi with my LP, and the truck still ran well. It did run slightly better with a new LP, but not much different. I would get a new LP and then see if that helps, because it's significantly less expensive than a VP44. I'm hoping it's just your LP, but think that it's something else. I would also suggest that you get a FP gauge.
