Larry B, I rescued my alternator, starter, fuel shutoff solenoid, and fuel lines with your stuff (better than stock) at a huge savings over having the local mechanics have ago at my truck. Thanks. On my 94 Dodge fuel pump the little rubber valves were what wore out.
I recall a John Deer tractor made in the early 70's losing power when it was fairly new and tracked the problem to a lift pump valve that looked identical to the ones in my 94 Dodge. As a field fix, I snipped the valve cage open and took the little rubber piece out and sanded it smooth on the seating surface side and put it back in, as a temporary fix I was thinking. Over 6 thousand hours later that same pump was still doing it's job. I don't hang around machinery much these days so the chance of me finding a valve that would fit is slim but if I were to find such an animal I would be quick to let you know about it. Hope someone else does for the sake of the next guy. If my present pump lasts 240K miles like the old one did I will probably never need another one.
