Back when I first got my truck I looked up the performance specs for my truck and DC said that a 4x4 3500 QC with the five speed should go from 40-60 in fourth gear in less than 9 seconds, mine did it in about 8. 5-9. 0 seconds (on flat ground) so you know they wouldn't do anything with it. Anyways I put together a test gauge like Briarhopper did and checked my lift pump, Mine was 8 psi at idle and alot less down the road. Today at 29,752 miles my lift pump got changed, it's now 15-16 psi at idle and I haven't checked it down the road. I had talked to a guy that had the cold weather reflash done at the dealer where my lift pump was being done and he has not had any trouble so I got it done to mine. I am often where my truck can't be plugged in and am in the northern half of Maine so I figured it would be good to have. Anyways I left the dealer 1 hour and 15 minutes later (lift pump, fuel filter and reflash) and on a slight uphill grade I checked my performance from 40 - 60 mph in fourth gear - 5. 5 seconds, and actually had it in fifth the first time I did it and got 6. 5 to 7 seconds. Needless to say I am impressed now, The point of this, check your lift pump, I had no idea mine was bad till I tested it, and the reflash didn't seem to hurt either.
P. S. The guy that had the reflash done before me had a bad lift pump the day he took the truck off the lot, got 4 mpg towing his trailer down south (brand new 2500 auto) he now has 40,000 miles and his pressure is about like mine was before I had my pump changed, pump two on it's way.
