Lift Pump replacement. How hard?

Remove the filter & access the lift from the top.



I just recently proceeded that way & had little problem.

Replaced pump today from the top. The job took about three hours including beer breaks. No problems to report and I thank all who suggested to do the job this way. Truck seems to idle better, bring on the vacation.
