I want to replace existing canister mounted fuel pump on my '03. What is the best way to go assuming price is not the main consideration. Considering Fass titanium, air dog, air dog II or anyother suggestions. strickly stock.

Depends on whether you want just a fuel pump or a fuel preperation pump. Pros and cons for both and will make the decisions easier if you decide up front.

Looking for improved reliability. Plan on keeping truck forever. Trying to gather as much information to make the best decision. Do systems such the air dogs increase the injector life as they claim.

If there is only $200-$300 difference over the life of a truck, I'd really want to know If there is that much difference between the fas and air dog.

Check out fuel labs,They have be far the best down stream Pressure regulators, they are our recommended electronic pump, the mechanicals are the best (Assin pump).

If price is no issue, you might consider building your own custom system. I use a Holley pump and Stanadyne filter assembly with 2 micron filters while keeping the stock filter, WIF sensor, and heater in place. Pricey, though.

So is it Holley pump, stock filter, then Stanadyne fiter. What Holley pump did you use? Thanks for info.
Anyone use the aidogs or fass-are their claims real?

That's right - Holley "Blue" pump, stock filter, Stanadyne filter. I used all braided stainless lines and AN fittings.

The replacement is an intank lift pump and will cost a lot, so leave the pickup assembly intact in the tank and go with any good quality system. I was looking into a Fass setup, but my lift pump failed on the road and Dodge replaced under warranty with the intank replacement. I kept the old pickup assembly, but sold the truck to my brother.

Reading about the longevity of the pump, and that Chrysler changed it to an in tank unit, I pre-emptively put on a FASS before I had a failure. Who knows how long the original would have lasted, but it was going to go eventually. I put on the FASS DDRP FUEL LIFT PUMP.

Just a tip,Install Bypass plumping BC (electronic pump ) when your lift pump fails just open the bypass system,You can easily start the truck and run off the GP thats attached to the CP3,You will need to start the truck with either.

I have a Fass 95 on my signature truck, I can unplug it and the truck will keep right on running. It makes no difference at idle, but I haven't tried driving it with the Fass turned off.

Yep. . what happens, if the truck sits it will loose its prime (at times), the only way to over come this is to run the truck on either for 1 to 2 seconds to regain the prime.
