Good day, today I think my lift pump went out. I started driving my truck and after about 3 minutes, a Low Fuel Pressure Alarm went off (1 PSI); I pulled over and thought it was a plugged fuel filter; I changed the filter and drained the fuel to see if there was any water in it; there wasn't. I restarted my truck; it was reading 2 PSI for about 10 seconds and then died. I have had an Air Dog 150 Lift Pump on the truck for about 2 years and no problem. When I turned the ignition on, I didn't hear the normal noise from the lift pump. I checked the engine for trouble codes and none came up. What should I do?

Thanks in advance, Tuglife

hello
first off I will say welcome to the TDR.
second I will say we need to know more about the truck what year type of fuel gauge, so on so forth.
thirdly I think you answered your own question. I do not believe the air dog would throw a code. But it is safe to say the lift pump is not operating.

Bump the starter and listen for the lift pump. check the wiring the harness from the stock location and at the lift pump.

good luck

Chris

Did they put the airdog on the frame rail or leave it in the engine compartment?
Check for 12 volts at the pump when the key is bumped, if they relocated the airdog to the frame, as Chris said, check the wiring they used to extend the pump wiring.

If you don't have a meter to check voltage, you could take a long piece of insulated wire and hook it to the + side of the battery and touch it to the + side of the airdog and see if it runs. I think the ground will be from the frame but you may need to do a short wire for it also. .
Good luck.

Hi guys, thanks for your input. I forgot, my 24 valve is a 2001, I have the Juice with Attitude for monitering the engine vitals. The Airdog is mounted on the Frame Rail. I located a Cummins Diesel Tech. to trouble shoot the issue. I will be contacting Airdog to get some questions answered; I've had the pump on my truck for about 2 years and no trouble.
I'll keep everyone informed on what I find out.

Did you check the relay on the Airdog? It comes with the wiring harness. I would check all the electrical connections, from one end to the other. How is your in-tank pick-up? Is it all stock?
