The other day I replaced my fuel pressure gauge and sending unit. The motor started and then died, air in the line. Cycled the pump and it kept running for almost a minute so I turned the ignition switch off but the pump kept on running. After a couple of tries the truck started and no problems. Shoudn't the pump stop when the ignition is turned off?
Changed the fuel filter today and the same thing happed. Bump the starter and the pump just kept on running after turning off the ignition. Unless my feable brain has gotten worse I thought the pump would shut off with the switch in off possition.
After a couple tries the truck started and no other problems. Just wondering if I had an air leak in the fuel line the lift pump would run forever without the key in. I do have the Geno's relocation kit and all the wiring and connectors look ok.
