I was sure glad I bought Brian Hoppers FP Gauge. I have 49000 mi. on the 2001 truck with the original lift pump. So I put the gauge on it and went for a test drive. 8lbs. at idle 5 on the road and 0 at WOT. Not Good !! Went to Breck Dodge in Tucson, told the about the readings and they said it would have to be replaced under warrenty. Which they did. Good dealer !

A thought on another subject. Put on a Pacbrake, and a week later I noticed the back exhaust manifold bolts we sticking out at the end of their threads. Seems odd that in 49000 mi. it didn't happen till I put on the Pacbrake. Any thoughts ?

Self-loosening exhaust bolts are common. I see it often, but more on exhaust brake equipped trucks.

DC has some bolt retainers that they put on for you probably under warranty, but I think they're really ugly so I just retorque.
