Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) lift pump

I have a buddy with an 02 cummins he is wanting to change his lift pump

how much do they cost and where can he get one on the internet.

Best prices I've found are from Cummins distributors. Around here that's Cummins NW but I assume you have diffrent one back east. The last price I saw was near $200. Makes you really consider some of the other options.

cummins 3990105. lift pump. carter pump P74213 available at some auto parts stores. the last one I put on was this one and it is the exact same as original. cheaper than cummins. hope this helps.

Just guessing Not towing anything you should be around 1000*. Get a EGT gauge and you will not have to guess. That should be the first thing you do before installing any mods. Makes for safe operation's :-laf
