Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) Lift Pump $

Alrighy guys... .



I have a funny knock with my truck. At idle it's a single rythmic knock. Drop it in gear, and it turns to a still rythmic knock, but it doubles up. knock knock... . knock knock... . knock knock... . etc. I found a thread where something occurred within the lift pump causing the knock.



Has anyone else heard anything about this?



How about a cost for a lift pump. So far I'm finding around $200.



That seems kinda spendy for a guess.

I am wondering this myself, I also have a rhythmic thump that sounds kinda like a rod knock. My truck has 245K on it, how about yours?

I've got 266,000 on mine.



When it started I was crusing along on a 2 lane road. I got caught behind a semi doing 45 in a 55. So I passed him. After that I had this knock.



I've also had a funny intermittant miss for a while now. I swapped injectors and that didn't help. I'm wondering if they are related.
